ANATOMY:
Hoprats are tiny, bipedal rodent-like creatures that hop, jump, and scurry around their small villages and towns. They are bipedal with bird-like feet and no arms.They have very short muzzles with rabbit-like noses and bucked teeth.
Hoprats are super tiny, and are the size of mice!
Hoprats have interesting legs and feet! Thanks to their bird-like feet, Hoprats have outstanding speed and agility!
Bird-like feet with 3 toes; two front toes, and a third back toe to aid in balance.
Their legs are often dark colors or solid black, but can be any color.
Hoprats have V-shaped noses and a large front tooth. They can have round tongues -or- forked tongues!
Hoprats have a bit of variety when it comes to their eyes;
Common Hoprats will have round eyes. If they have pupils, they remain black.Rare Hoprats can have shaped eyes; allowing the iris and/ or pupils to be a different shape. Their pupils may be any colour.
Hoprats are known to be loyal companions, often riding on the shoulders and heads of their owners, or hanging out in pockets or backpacks. These creatures love to explore, and love accompanying others for trips or journeys.As Hoprats are social animals, it is not uncommon for multiple of them to live with a Maskimp and form a family unit amongst one another.
Communication between Hoprats, to other creatures, sounds like a collection of squeaks, chirps, and pips. Hoprats are perfectly able to understand each other, however!
Hoprats, despite being omnivores, have a preference towards fruits and berries!
Hoprats are known to build tiny cities which can be found all speckled all across the land. Maskimps and Hoprats have the same level of intelligence, thus Hoprats will build homes, stores, libraries, and more in these towns.
Due to the small size of these buildings, Hoprats will fiercely defend their homes from would-be intruders who could potentially cause damage.
Hoprats will construct these buildings out of almost any material that is accessable to them. Due to their ability to adapt to most any environment, towns are often unique and constructed out of the local materials Hoprats are able to find in their habitat.

Body Sparkles
Adds a fine, constantly shimmering glitter anywhere on your rat.
Aura
Adds floating matter around your rat. Can be clouds, objects, etc.
Plant Growth
Causes any plants to grow anywhere from the body.
Glowing Markings
Allows your rat to have glowing markings of any shape, size, or colour.
Chromatic
Allows your rat to change colour at will. This can also be used to give your rat alternate palettes or seasonal coats!
Horns
Adds x1 pair of horns, antlers, etc. to your rat.
Studs
Adds hard scales or studs to your rat. Can be on the elbows, shoulders, or down the spine.
Blessed
Adds a pair of wings to your rat. You will need to apply this trait multiple times if you use more than one pair of wings!
Tiny Wings
Adds a tiny pair of wings that float detched from the body. These wings still allow flight!
Impish
Adds a pair of webbed wings to your rat. You will need to apply this trait multiple times if you use more than one pair of wings!
Multi-Tail
Allows your rat to have 3-9 tails, these tails must be on the tails page unless they are unique.
Plush Body
Turns your rat's body into a plush doll. These stitches are authentic!
Crystallized
Adds crystals growing from the body and/or geodes in the body.
Elemental (Fire)
Turns your rat's body into flames, magma, lava, etc.
Elemental (Water)
Turns your rat's body into any sort of liquid / coloured liquid. (Can be combined with edible.)
Fishy
Adds fins, scales, gills, and other aquatic features.
Tenta
Adds tentacles in various places of the body. This mutation is required for tentacle appendages.
Reptile
Adds rough scales, a scaly tummy, etc. to your rat!
Fae Wings
Adds bug-like wings to your rat. These can be shaped after any bug.
Insect
Adds bug-like qualities like feelers, exoskeletons, antennae, and/or pinchers.
Edible
Adds edible parts to your rat's body! (Ex. body made of cake, icing, etc!)
